Read the Labels on Your Vitamins
I went to Costco today and being on a juice cleanse there were none of sample food offerings that were suitable for me to try. Towards the exit a sample caught my eye. It was for CoQ10 in liquid form. Earlier this morning I had just explained to a patient how very large doses have been shown to reverse symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. The sign said it was flavored with fruit juice so I went for it.
As soon as I tasted it, I realized there was something terribly wrong. Unfortunately not fast enough to spit it back out though. The bitter rancid, artificial taste was overwhelming. I quickly did what I should have done first – read the list of ingredients. Sure enough; hidden in the fine print – Sucralose; a neurotoxin of the pesticide family chloro-carbons, marketed as Splenda.
It is mind blowing to me that we still have supposed health products with some potential health benefits that are laced with neurotoxins. Make sure you read the labels and don’t spend money on things that you don’t want them to sell. If nobody buys it, nobody will make it. Guaranteed!
So start avoiding artificial sweeteners. Anything with Nutraweet, Aspartame, Saccharin, Sucralose, Splenda, Acesulfame potassium, Acesulfame-K is a poison.
I still shudder from the experience, but I know my body is clean and strong enough to clean it out and recover. Most people who get it daily are not so fortunate.
